PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating-up method for the furnace core in a blast furnace raising the surface temperature at the furnace core by shifting the combustion focus point of pulverized fine coal in a raceway in the blast furnace to the center side of the furnace in the operation of blowing the pulverized fine coal into the blast furnace. ;SOLUTION: When the pulverized fine coal is blown from a tuyere in the blast furnace, the kind of coal is selected so that the volatile matter keeps to 19%, and in the case of coal having high volatile matter, the coal is used by mixing one or more kinds of coals having low volatile matter or in addition to this, further a double-tube lance or a triple-tube lance for blowing the pulverized fine coal is used. In such a case, the pulverized fine coal from the inner part in the inner tube and cold blast from the tube except the center tube, are supplied and the rate and/or the blasting amount of the cold blast are adjustably changed to heat up the furnace core in the operation of blowing the pulverized fine coal into the blast furnace.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
