PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating a deadman of a blast furnace in which degradation of the gas and liquid permeability of a surface layer part of the deadman causing the drop of the deadman temperature when blowing powdered coal in the blast furnace, and the consistent blast furnace operation can be maintained for a long time without increasing the fuel ratio.;SOLUTION: In this method for heating the deadman by blowing the heat- generating metal powder, the heat-generating metal powder is blown into the blast furnace simultaneously with the powdered coal from a tuyere of the blast furnace in the powdered coal blowing operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
