Pellet-like fatty acid-containing mixed feed granulated product and a method of manufacturing the same

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject pelletized feed mixed product that has an appropriate strength, shows excellent digestion and absorption, storability and palatability and is useful as a feed for milk cows by mixing a prescribed mixture containing aliphatic monocarboxylic acid and the like, biologically effective substances and feedstuff and granulating the mixture. SOLUTION: The objective palletized feed mix product is prepared by mixing 50-80 wt.% of a aliphatic straight-chain 14-22C free monocarboxylic acid as myristic acid, 5-10 wt.% of a monovalent or divalent water-soluble metal salt as sodium salt or calcium salt, 5-10 wt.% of crude fiber source such as crushed leaves and stems containing =20% crude fibers and 2-5 wt.% of adsorbent such as crushed product of porous natural minerals. In addition, biologically effective substances as one or more kinds of amino acids, vitamins and the like, and feedstuffs are admixed thereto and granulated or tabletted to give the objective fatty acid-containing mixed feed products. In a preferred embodiment, granulation and/or tabletting operations are carried out at a temperature of =75 deg.C.
