The present invention relates to the use of compounds of the general formula I, in which R111 represents a phenylalkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety being optionally substituted on a benzene nucleus with alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a halogen, or naphthyl alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety, Re2 denotes a hydrogen atom or the group forming a biologically cleavable ester, and Re3 represents a hydrogen atom or the group forming a biologically cleavable ester, whereby said group forming a biologically cleavable ester is represented by Ci1-Ci4-alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms; a phenyl group or a phenylalkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl moiety, which can be substituted on a benzene nucleus with alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an alkylene chain containing 3 to 4 carbon atoms, being attached to two adjacent atoms of the benzene nucleus, particularly phenyl, benzyl or indanyl; dioxolanyl methyl group being optionally substituted on the dioxolane cycle with alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, especially (2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl; and an alkanoyloxy methyl group containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms in the alkanoyl moiety, being optionally substituted on the oxymethyl group with alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and physiologically acceptable salts of acids of the general formula I, for preparing pharmaceutical compositions intended for prophylaxis and/or treatment of heart damages, especially myocardial damages in humans caused by cardiotoxic doses of medicaments of cytostatic effective antibiotics being selected from the group consisting of anthracyclines and mitoxantrone.
