The invention relates to medicine, in particular, to curative and rehabilitation exercises after hip and knee arthroplasty for use in medical institutions, sanatoria and health resorts facilities, as well as domestically for patient rehabilitation. A rehabilitation program is worked out comprising curative exercises aimed at restoration of locomotive activities in hip and knee joints using multi-step principle, in 6 steps broken down according to time periods, rules of patient behavior in earlier postoperative period and rules of patient behavior in daily routine life in long-term postoperative period.A complex of curative gymnastics comprises curative, respiratory and relax exercises.The method is aimed at the most effective restoration of the locomotive activities of the hip and knee joints, minimizing a complication risks, encouraging restoration of hip support ability, strengthening the lower extremities muscle system, stimulating trophism, increasing movement amplitude in the operated joint, relieving patient pain, increasing prosthesis life time in bone tissue, returning the patient to active life.
