A method of converting vardenafil hydrochloride to vardenafil hydrochloride trihydrate in solid form, characterized in that vardenafil hydrochloride or vardenafil hydrochloride whose content of water of crystallization differs from 9.3% by weight is converted substantially into the trihydrate form by bringing the vardenafil hydrochloride or vardenafil hydrochloride whose content of water of crystallization differs from 9.3% by weight, into contact with moistened gas of relative humidity from 35% to 100% in a system for time duration from a few minutes to several days, in that the moistened gas is introduced or provided and brought into contact with the pharmaceutical forms as uniformly as possible.
