THERMAL ENERGY METER FOR COMPUTING THE ENERGY INFLOWS AND OUTFLOWS IN STORAGE WATER HEATING SYSTEMS

A system for measuring thermal energy gained by a water storage tank, comprising the steps, - a temperature sensing unit arranged in said water storage tank for rocording the change in temperature in different layers of the tank; and - a meter unit comprising amicro-controller based processing unit for acquiring data corresponding to each layer of the tank from said temperature sensing unit, for processing said data to compute the total heat absored by the system and for displaying the result in a display unit.
