Detection system for carrier pigeons

Electronic pigeon rings have transponders with memories (22) that can be read/written in an application device without contact. A recording device (RD) (10) has a reader device, a timer and a memory, which can be written with read transponder data and arrival times linked to it. The RD links to electronic cameras for taking pictures of carrier pigeons returning home.
