METHOD FOR PALLIATIVE TREATMENT OF CANCER OF HEAD OF PANCREAS

A method for the palliative treatment of the cancer of head of pancreas complicated with the mechanical jaundice comprises applying choledochoduodenoanastomosis on the penetrating drainage in the shape of the perforated tube followed by chemo- and radiotherapy postoperatively. Upon the healing of the anastomosis on the tube, the perforated tube may be removed. When the tube is installed, distally the X-ray opaque marker is fixed. Through one of the lower perforated openings of the tube, the long capron filament is passed, which is then extended out of the nose to the skin with the aid of the nasogastral probe and fixed by the adhesive tape. Upon the healing of the anastomosis, the drainage is removed by the traction of the filament.
