METHOD FOR SELECTING OPTIMAL METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS WITH RESIDUAL RENAL CONCREMENTS

A method for selecting the optimal method for treating the patients with the residual renal concrements comprises the use of the blast hydraulic lithotripsy taking into account the size, the composition and the location of the concrements, and the inflammation in the kidney. In addition, the draining type, the state of the urodynamics of the upper urinary tracts on the side of the residual renal concrements are assessed. Each parameter is scored in points, and the integral coefficient is calculated. If the integral coefficient is less than 6.0, the distant blast hydraulic lithotripsy is the method of choice; if the integral coefficient is within 6.0-9.0, the transcutaneous contact nephrolithotripsy is selected. Finally, when the integral coefficient exceeds 9.0, the open surgery should be performed.
