System for the production of desalinated water on ships, in particular monohull vessels. This system includes a series of wind turbines (12) arranged in the bow and stern areas of the ship and aligned in the same direction as this. The energy collected by these wind turbines (12) is transferred to high-pressure pumps (4) that feed reverse osmosis units (5) for the production of desalinated water (6, 7, 8). Ballast tanks are planned to ensure stability, salt water storage tanks. The product water (9) leaves the ship through a pipe (13) of drinking water that leads to the distribution network on land.
