The composition includes 2-7 percent (weight by weight) of sodium oxide and potassium oxide, where the amount of potassium oxide is double the amount of sodium oxide. Less than 5 percent (weight by weight) of zirconium oxide, less than 8 percent (weight by weight) of boric oxide, less than 3 percent (weight by weight) of zinc oxide, less than 2 percent (weight by weight) of barium oxide, lead oxide and strontium oxide, less than 1 percent (weight by weight) of lithium oxide, are provided as raw material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a frit, smalt and ceramics component comprising the composition (2) a method for preparation of the composition.
