The invention relates to a screw-in blind rivet (1) for connecting two plates (12, 13) in through-insertion mounting. The invention proposes to produce the screw-in blind rivet (1) in the form of a square tube or other polygonal tube of plastic which can be upset by screwing in a screw (3) to form a rivet bead (15). Furthermore, the invention relates to a connecting arrangement (14) with the screw-in blind rivet (1) and to a method of producing it. The invention permits simple, quick and inexpensive connection of two plates (12, 13), which need only be accessible from one side.
