The method involves forming mutually opposing through openings (24',24") in walls (44,46) of hollow section (42) by using tool. A blind rivet (14') is inserted via the through openings along axial direction, and is connected with the walls of the hollow section. The lip portion (34') for fitting the blind rivet is formed in the lower surface side of wall (44), such that head portion (48) of blind rivet is rested on upper surface side of the wall (44).
