The method involves adjusting a warning device communication unit (MKE) of a warning device line connection unit using an adjusting unit (EE) in such a manner that warning device lines (S, L) are connected to warning device line interfaces (A, B) of the adjusting unit. A maximum number of warning devices, which are connected with the connecting unit via the communication unit, is obtained. A loop and a stitch are used as a warning device line. An independent claim is also included for a device for connecting warning device lines using a connecting unit of an emergency warning center.
