The method involves fastening a turbine blade (4) in a holder (3) to a positioning robot. The turbine blade is automatically coated by a coater (5), at a machining robot (2). The turbine blade and coater move simultaneously. The turbine blade and coater are moved in such a manner that their movement vectors are oppositely oriented, while major part of the processing is collinear. An amount of the movement vectors of the turbine blade and coater are differently large. An independent claim is also included for a device for positioning and processing a component.
