SULPHUR-DETECTING INDICATORS FOR DETERMINING LIFE TIME OF ADSORBENTS, SULFUR-REMOVAL CANISTER AND SYSTEM COMPOSED OF THE SAME

A sulfur-detecting indicator for determining a life time of a desulfurization adsorbent is provided to facilitate the determination of adsorbent replacement time during a desulfurization process and be easily applicable to a process requiring desulfurization. A sulfur-detecting indicator for determining a life time of a desulfurization adsorbent is obtained by carrying or applying a silver compound, a manganese compound, or a mixture thereof on(to) a carrier consisting of alumina, silica, zeolite, or silica gel. A coating amount of the silver compound, manganese compound, or mixture thereof is 0.1-10wt% based on the carrier. A desulfurization canister(11) includes: an airtight container having a gas inlet and a gas outlet at both ends thereof; and a desulfurization adsorbent(14) and the sulfur-detecting indicator(15) which are, in order of precedence, filled in the airtight container from the incoming direction of gas.
