POLYNUCLEOTIDES RESPONSIBLE FOR INNATE IMMUNE RESPONSE IN DROSOPHILA AND USE THEREOF

Polynucleotides responsible for innate immune response in Drosophila melanogaster are provided to treat diseases caused by immune response disorder, is useful for development of immune activity enhancer for inducing activation of acquired immune response, and environment-friendly insecticide, and is useful as a target for macrophage function activator and treating agent. A method for screening an immunomodulator comprises the steps of: (a) contacting eukaryote cells with a candidate material; (b) detecting whether the candidate material affects the expression or activity of products encoded by polynucleotides responsible for innate immune response in Drosophila melanogaster by measuring the concentration or turn over of mRNA(messenger RNA) through quantitative RT-PCR(reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction), microarray analysis or Northern blotting; and (c) determining the candidate material as the immunomodulator when the candidate material changes the expression or activity of the polynucleotides in eukaryote cells contacted with the candidate material, wherein the polynucleotides include CG7263, Spen, Jhi-21, Inv, CG12744, Pcl, Coro, shg, loco, Rab35, DDB1, Jemeau, Lmpt, Rab6, Trx-2 and CG7510.
