A method for controlling a mild-hybrid electric vehicle is provided to continue driving when MG(Motor and Generator) and ASG(Automatic Stop and Go) failure occurs by deleting an ASG mode and operating a cooling motor. A method for controlling a mild-hybrid electric vehicle when MG and ASG failure occurs comprises the steps of: identifying MG and ASG failure; deleting an ASG mode and changing into an emergency mode; connecting a magnetic clutch for operating a cooling motor; connecting the cooling motor and an engine pulley(14) to start an engine; and disconnecting the magnetic clutch after the start of the engine and driving with the ASG mode deleted.
