A beta-cryptoxanthin-ingredient-containing extract liquid for addition to foods or beverages which is obtained by dissolving or dispersing a beta-cryptoxanthin-ingredient-containing extract in a fat or an emulsifier-containing solution; and a beta-cryptoxanthin-ingredient-containing extract liquid for addition to soaps or cosmetics which is obtained by dissolving or dispersing a beta-cryptoxanthin-ingredient-containing extract in a fat or an emulsifier-containing solvent. Also provided are a food or beverage and a soap or cosmetic which each contains, added thereto, the corresponding extract liquid containing a beta-cryptoxanthin ingredient. These beta-cryptoxanthin-ingredient-containing extracts preferably are ones extracted from the fruit of persimmon.
