KIDNEY-SPECIFIC GENE HMM03 ASSOCIATED WITH DEVELOPMENT OF KIDNEY CYST

An HMM03 gene is provided to be involved with an attack of renal cyst and be specifically expressed in kidney tissues, thereby decreasing false positive during the study of cyst symptoms, being used as a marker for diagnosing the renal cyst attack and treating the renal cyst rapidly in early stage by reducing a drug target to a protein regarding the HMM03. An HMM03 protein specifically expressed in kidney tissues consists of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 2 and is used as a target of a therapeutic drug of renal cyst, wherein the protein is derived from mammal. A gene encoding the HMM03 protein consists of a sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 1. A marker or a microarray for diagnosing the attack of the renal cyst comprises the sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 1. To treat the renal cyst of a test animal, which is a non-human animal such as dog, cat, pig, cow, mouse, zebrafish and drosophila, the expression of the gene in the test animal is inhibited.
