A coefficient data generating apparatus and method, information processing apparatus and method using the same, a coefficient-generating-data-generating apparatus and method thereof, and an information providing medium used therewith are provided to freely controlling the picture size and a sampling frequency of an audio signal without increasing the pieces of estimation expression coefficient data stored in storage unit. A coefficient data generating apparatus includes a coefficient data memory, a transformation relation specifying unit, a coefficient data generator(132). The coefficient data memory stores coefficient generating data for generating estimation expression coefficient data used when a predetermined number of learning signals are converted into a predetermined number of training signals. The transformation relation specifying means expresses relations between the learning signals and the training signals as transformation relations between signals generated by linearly transforming the learning signals and the training signals to specify transformation relations thereof. The coefficient data generator calculates the coefficient generating data stored according to the transformation relations to generate the coefficient data for the estimation expression used when an input information signal is converted into an output information signal.
