摘要

Odor strength depends on various factors, such as toilet cleaning frequency and time of use. These odors are emitted during excrement release and from excrement stains. Nowadays, toilet units with deodorization devices have been developed. However, there are many problems about the odorant removal performance of these devices. The present study aimed at proposing 1) an examination evaluation method where we developed an experimental device reproducing the odorant gasification characteristics of a real restroom space, model of human wastes and devices aimed at determing odorant gas removal performance, 2) deodorization devices used in a toilet unit. The background ammonia concentrations were 280-450[mu g/m~3] and 222-258 [mu g/m~3] without and with a deodorization device operation.
