Extracts of Suaeda asparagoides Having Antioxidative Activity

The extract of Suaeda asparagoides is provided to protect the cell membrane from oxygen by removing free radicals and reactive oxygen species, and delaying photohemolysis phenomenon without side effects, thereby preventing and treating skin aging. The extract of Suaeda asparagoides is prepared by dipping dried Suaeda asparagoides in 50% ethanol at room temperature, filtering and concentrating the solution under reduced pressure to obtain an ethanol extract of Suaeda asparagoides, adding hexane into the ethanol extract to obtain a hexane fraction, fractionating the hexane fraction with ethyl acetate to obtain an ethyl acetate fraction, and concentrating the ethyl acetate fraction under reduced pressure. An antioxidant composition comprises the extract of Suaeda asparagoides as an effective ingredient.
