A proline-rich protein gene is provided to express cold-resistance in various crops including Oryza sativa, thereby applying a vector comprising the same to low temperature injury concerned crops to increase productivity and reduce cost for heat-insulation. A proline-rich protein gene derived from Oryza sativa is characterized in that it encodes a protein having an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID : NO. 2. A recombinant vector includes the proline-rich protein gene derived from Oryza sativa encoding the amino acid of SEQ ID : NO. 2. A transgenic plant includes the recombinant vector. A composition for increasing cold-tolerance of plant includes the proline-rich protein gene derived from Oryza sativa or a proline-rich protein derived from Oryza sativa, wherein the gene is inserted into an expression vector.
