FIELD: engines and pumps.;SUBSTANCE: method of controlling solid-fuel rocket engine thrust consists in feeding an initiating pulse, by the control system instruction, to ignite the solid fuel charge pellets. The initiating pulses are sent by the control system via the stages of distributors and the coordinate assigned system of local ignition to the solid fuel charge pellets to simultaneously ignite them with dispersion in the amount required to ensure a preset thrust for a preset time interval. The solid fuel charge is a solid body of solid fuel pellets separated by heat insulating cover and combined into plane-parallel layers. The composition of the each said pellet includes a part of the layer polymer substrate whereon fitted is an electrically-controlled heating element making an individual igniter and an oxidiser granule in contact with the aforesaid element. Every polymer substrate has a coordinate assigned system of local ignition made up of conducting buses and the solid fuel pellet heating elements interconnected by means of the said buses. Every electrically controlled heating element operates with two conducting buses connecting the above element with the power supply and the control system via the aforesaid stages of distributors.;EFFECT: solid-fuel rocket controlled thrust and ruling out wasteful use of the heat insulating cover layers.;2 cl, 7 dwg, 1 tbl
