The device (20) has an assistance system (10) which detects and evaluates dynamic values by sensors (12,14,16,18). An evaluation and control unit (22) receives a characteristic fiber reinforced plastic from the system. The plastic is calculated from the detected dynamic values of the system. The dynamic values comprise a front axle revolution, a rear axle revolution and a driving force of the vehicle (1). The evaluation and control unit evaluates an active pitch angle caused by the loading of the vehicle, and adjusts the headlight range of the headlight (26) over an adjustment drive (24).
