The unit has corrosion-resistant, galvanized or plasticized metal bands (1) shaped in a three-dimensional design, placed in a bituminous layer (10) in a defined quantity per unit volume of the layer, and obtain a random position in the layer. The metal bands are twisted in a spiral shape, and are made of steel with nominal strength of about 700 Newton/square millimeters. The metal bands include a thickness of about 0.8 to 1.2 millimeters, a breadth of 5 to 8 millimeters and a length of approximately 30 to 130 millimeters.
