The adaptation device (20) has a driving-dynamics-influencing device (22) and a driving-kind-determining-device (21), which is formed to determine the driving condition of the vehicle on the basis of data or signals available over sensors or driving assistance systems of the vehicle. The driving-dynamics-influencing device determines the driving dynamics required for the driving conditions and driving positions, and causes a change of an existing brake requirement according to the determined required driving dynamics. An independent claim is also included for a method for the adaptation of the adjusting dynamics of the brakes of a vehicle.
