The vehicle (1) has a sensor arrangement for determining condition of a driver of the vehicle such as strain of the driver, and an operating device (10) for operating a function of the vehicle or a function, which is connected with the vehicle. The operating device comprises a controller (11) for adapting the arrangement of the device (10) to the condition of the driver. The operating device is guided using menus, where the structure of the menu is adaptable to the condition of the driver or a condition in a passenger compartment of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a motor vehicle with an operating device.
