The seating arrangement has a front seat (8) and a rear seat (12) arranged behind the front seat. A backrest (26) is arranged in a plane with a seat part (22), where the front side (38) of the backrest and the upper side (34) of the seat part form a couch partial surface is directed upward. The backrest (24) of the front seat is pivoted around the pivoting axis (28) such that the rear side (40) of the backrest forms another couch surface directed upward, which together with the former couch partial surface forms a couch surface.
