The door lock (10) has a locking unit (14) for mounting at a door (22) of a household appliance and for lockingly co-operating with a lock engaging section (42) for holding the door against a base body in a closed position. The lock engaging section is attached at the household appliance or is provided at the base body of the appliance. A locking unit fitting part (28) fits the locking unit at the door, such that the locking unit is movable forwards relative to the door against an elastic force in a closing direction of the door. An elastic force generating unit is provided at the door.
