The mica composite material (5) useful in rotating machines, electrical motor and/or generators for insulation purposes, comprises a first porous web (6) with mica-particles (2) and thermoplastic portion in intermixed form. The thermoplastic portion forms separate material part areas within the web. The weight percentage of the all thermoplastic portion within the first web is higher than 10% related to the weight percentage of the first web, which is connected with a carrier in the form of second web (7). An independent claim is included for a procedure for the production of mica composite material.
