The method invovles detecting driving job and an operational data of the rail vehicle (10) and determining whether the operational data of a vehicle corresponds to a given normal operational condition of the vehicle. If the operational data corresponds to the normal operational condition, then automatic controlling of the vehicle takes place. If the operational data do not corresponds to the normal operational condition, then automatic transmission of a part of the operational data to a vehicle separated control room (48) takes place. Independent claims are also included for the follwing: (1) a rail vehicle with a sensor to detect an operating condition of the vehicle (2) a rail transportation system.
