The motor vehicle with two drive units has a device for predetermining the wishes of the driver which is formed in such a way that within the adjusting range of the device a power stage with increased restoring force is provided. The control unit for processing the wishes of the driver is formed in such a way that when exceeding the power stage a switching from one drive unit to the other or an engaging of the other drive unit is carried out. One of the drive units may be an internal combustion engine and the other an electric machine.
