An installation generates electrical current through a combustion engine with simultaneous gas cleaning and heating of buildings. In a smolder gas boiler (1) smolder gases (19) are produced from wood (4) over a pre-heater (5), and the smolder gases (19) are conducted from the boiler (1) into a compressor (2) via a line (6) and compressed by the compressor (2).
