The connector has a hook connector (14) brought in contact along front- or longitudinal edges by lowering a panel (1) to another panel (2) to connect the panels in a horizontal direction. The hook connector is provided for vertical-locking of the panels. An interlocking part i.e. slider (32), arranged at the panel (1) is brought in locking engagement with the panel (2). The interlocking part is adjusted from a release position into a locking position, in which the interlocking part engages upper and lower side walls (62, 64) of the panels. The slider is made of metal, wood or plastic.
