The device has an air quality sensor (46) e.g. spectroscopic gas sensor, producing an air quality signal of air surrounding the sensor. A control drive (42) adjusts a ventilation flap of a ventilating device for a defined fresh air ratio. A control electronics (48) controls the control drive depending on the air quality signal of the air quality sensor. The air quality sensor, control electronics and control drive together form a structural unit (50), where the air quality sensor and the control electronics are integrated in the control drive.
