PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor which does not require neutral point adjustments since a neutral point of a torque detection signal does not change even when a magnetic field in the periphery of a torque detection part is changed due to the approach of a magnet etc. from the outside.;SOLUTION: A magnetostrictive torque sensor 20 comprises a shaft 12b made of a magnetic material provided with at least magnetostrictive films 20b and 20c; exciting coils 20d' and 20e' for exciting the magnetostrictive films 20b and 20c provided for the shaft 12b; detecting coils 20d and 20e for detecting changes in the magnetic field; and a yoke part 20f provided for the external circumferences of the exciting coils 20d' and 20e' and the detecting coils 20d and 20e.
