The flow meter (1) can be inserted into a pipe and passes the measurement fluid. It has a housing (11) which can be connected to the pipe via a fluid inlet (113) and outlet (114) and which contains a stiff carrier (12) connected to the housing via at least one mechanical damping element (13,14,20). The measurement tube (15) carrying the fluid opens into the inlet and outlet. A sub-tube (151) to be stimulated to vibrate is connected on the inlet and outlet sides by corresp. fixings. There are corresp. connecting sub-tubes (152,153). A stimulation device (16) between the housing and carrier vibrates the sub-tubes. Vibration sensors (17,18) are mounted on the sub-tubes near the fixings.
