A method of measuring the binding activity of a ligand-binding protein which has a poor chemical stability to a first ligand characterized by comprising fixing a second ligand capable of binding to the above-described ligand-binding protein at a binding site other than the binding site of the ligand-binding protein to the first protein, allowing the protein to bind to the second ligand, and then measuring the binding activity of the protein to the first ligand by the surface plasmon resonance.
