The system (16) has a sensor (18) and a processing module (20) for acquiring an angular speed (omega) and a control signal of an output shaft of an electric motor (12). An observer (26) observes an electric current (Iest) and a resistive load torque (Cest) with respect to the angular speed and the control signal. A detection module (28) detects an obstacle on path of a leaf of a motor vehicle with respect to the current and the torque.
