The device has a resonator (8) connected to an oil vapor breather by a piping that is connected to an upper part of the resonator via a nozzle (6), where the breather is mounted on a casing of an internal combustion engine. The resonator is formed of two distinct parts such as base (34) and cover (80). The base forms an integral part of an air circulation conduit (30), and directly communicates with the conduit via a small section opening. The cover is fixed on the base for forming an attenuation cavity.
