LOWER TANK OF RH-TYPE VACUUM DEGASSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower tank of an RH-type vacuum degassing apparatus, which does not cause a leakage of steel and adequately prevents the fall of a sidewall brick, which particularly tends to occur in the tank at an end stage of its use.;SOLUTION: The top edge 30 of a brick 3 for a circulating current tube is arranged at a lower position than the bottom edge of a brick 2 for the sidewall so that a gap 6 is formed in between the top edge of the brick for the circulating current tube and the bottom edge of the brick for the sidewall. An expansion-absorbing material 5 is arranged in the gap 6 while making mortar lie in between the brick 3 for the circulating current tube and the brick 2 for the sidewall. The thermal expansion of the brick 3 for the circulating current tube is absorbed by the expansion-absorbing material 5, so that the fall of the brick 2 for the sidewall due to the thermal expansion of the brick 3 for the circulating current tube can be adequately prevented. Besides, the back face of the brick 3 for the circulating current tube comes in contact with a bottom brick 4, so that the leak of the steel hardly occurs.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
