SIMPLE STEEL VERTICAL TYPE EXPANSION DEVICE FOR BRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect divided blocks and to enhance water cut-off performance, in a simple steel vertical type expansion device using the divided blocks.;SOLUTION: A sealing member 12 comprising a rubber material is laid between vertical plate members 11, in the divided blocks of the simple steel vertical type expansion device arranged opposedly with the vertical plate members 11 curved in a waveform. A groove provided with a bottom part 12B is formed of the laid sealing member 12. The central parts of both longitudinal ends are projected arcuately in the bottom part 12B. A natural vulcanized rubber adhesive is applied onto end faces of the sealing member 12 and end faces of the vertical plate members 11, when connecting the fellow adjacent divided blocks, and the both end faces are matched to connect integrally the both divided blocks. A projected part 12D of the central part of the bottom part 12B of the sealing member 12 is compressed when bringing the end faces into pressure contact.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
