PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion equipment and a combustion method which reduce use amount of coal by improving a mixed combustion ratio of biomass resources such as woods, bamboo and grass to reduce CO2, do not require an installation place by saving a space, can be easily installed in an existing facility, and can improve transportation efficiency by compaction of biomass resources.;SOLUTION: The combustion equipment is provided with a first facility 1 as a treatment facility of biomass resources, a second facility 11 as a coal burning boiler combustion facility having a combustion boiler 14, and a carrying passage 21 for biomass resources from the first facility 1 to the second facility 11. In the first facility 1, the biomass resource Ws is treated by a biomass mill 3 to have a grain size suitable for combustion by the boiler 14, and is carried to the second facility 11.
