PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature tensile testing method of a bar steel material, a fire-proof performance predicting method of a non-fire-proof coated steel material, and a steel material superior in high temperature strength.;SOLUTION: In the high temperature tensile testing method of a bar steel material, the bar steel material 2 with a diameter of 6-40 mm is heated so that the temperature increases continuously without being kept constant, tensile force is introduced via tools attached to both ends of the bar steel material of the high temperature state as soon as the temperature of the bar steel material reaches a predetermined value, and the strength of the bar steel material of the high temperature state is measured. Both ends of the bar steel material have a threaded screw joint, and can be screw joined to tools on a tensile testing machine side to be attached to them. In the fire-proof performance predicting method of the non-fire-proof coated steel material, data of the test result by the high temperature tensile testing method of the bar steel material is used for predicting the fire-proofing test result of the non-fire-proof coated steel material.
