PARTLY-COVERED REMODELED DOOR FRAME AND REMODELING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remodeled door frame maintaining an opening of an existing door frame as it is, preventing the narrowing of the opening.;SOLUTION: Only the outdoor side is remodeled setting a door receiving step 13 of the existing door frame 10 as a reference position, and a new door frame 20 with each frame member integrally formed with a steel plate with a wall thickness of 1.6 mm is installed at the remodeled part. The indoor side of the existing door frame 10 is exposed to remain, and remodeling is performed without narrowing the door frame opening. A hinge reinforcing back plate 26 is installed at a hanging side vertical frame 20c to secure the wall thickness strength of the new door frame 20, while the corresponding part of the existing door frame 10 is hollowed in a plane L-shape from the indoor side aspect face to form a reinforcing plate receiving hole 17, and the reinforcing back plate is held in the receiving hole 17 to prevent the narrowing of the opening caused by a rising strip 24 of an airtight member receiving groove 23 projected to the door frame opening side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
