PURPOSE:To make it possible to remodel electrically an existing door lock easily and economically by making use of wiring of a column side only by leaving a door lock complying with the requirements as it is, and remodelling a door lock capable of remodelling to reuse. CONSTITUTION:Each door is checked about whether there is a means to unlock without using a key 1 from the inside of a door when a door lock is locked with the key 1 from the outside of the door and whether a door 2 is in a state of unlocking by fixing a latch bolt 3 automatically in case the door 2 is closed. An existing door lock 8 complying with above two requirements is left to the door 2 as it is, and door locks capable of remodelling among other existing door locks not complying with the requirements are remodelled to reuse. After that, an electric lock 7 and a control box 14 are mounted to a column 13 side. As a result, an electric wire is not wired to the door 2 and door lock 8 at all, and the electric lock 7 for the column and an acceptable door lock are combined together as a unit to function as an electric locking system.
