PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, when walking with a terminal device having an incorporated GPS positioning function, which is carried by user's hand, since a hand position is rocked to the front and back sides following walking, a positioned user's present position deviates in a subtle manner.;SOLUTION: When the terminal device 20 is in a rocking state accompanying walking of the user, a reference period time 29a wherein a user's arm is rocked is calculated, based on an output signal from an acceleration sensor 26a detecting the rocking state. When the terminal device 20 is in the rocking state, positioning processing is performed at an interval of an integral-fold number of time of the reference period time 29a, based on a set positioning interval 29b which has been set beforehand.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
